I have a similar problem on win 98.  I already had msvcp70.dll installed, but when I run the updater I get 2 errors:

- The MSVCP70.DLL file is linked to missing export MSVCR70.DLL-___job_func.

- D:\\Path\\PlaneShift\\updater.exe
A device attached to the system is not functioning.

Tried copying the dll into the Planeshift dir as suggested in another thread but that didn\'t help either.

I got the dll file, and it is in the right spot, but now I get the MSVCR70.DLL-___job_func. error and I also get \"a device attached to the system is not functioning\" error.
