Why is my STR 175 (160) when nothing is equipped?

Why is my STR 175 (160) when nothing, no rings, no weapons, nothing is equipped?

My carrying limit was 262.5 now it is 240.  Why?

Just a wild guess, you had any stat modding item equipped that has a negative value? like the Rats swords/daggers, they lower your str but give you more points in other stats, thing is that  they last until you logout. so dequip those blades and relog. I am not sure if this is a wanted feature or a bug, maybe a dev could answer that and if it is a bug you should post it on the bugtracker.

maybe it was a display error. I had my Agil displaying 6 when it was really 67. After a restart, everything was displayed just fine.

Last month, I lost three levels of my Sword skill... but, even after I relogged, it didn't change back. Computers really don't like me. Just yesterday, me and my computer got in an argument. I won, of course, with my friggen' awesome ski11z0rs of p3rsuAsi0n and 5tubburnn3zz..

As other said log out then back in. Don't keep equip dequip thge offending weapon. My str ended up very bad. Not sure if it was just client side or bother server/client related but I sold the weapon and logged out and logged back in and it was fine again.

your problem is, because of Dakrru's Curse, when you died you got that curse.

SerqFeht is right, Dakrru's Curse (the death curse I call it) would make the stats more like this:

Agility: 100 (200)
Charisma: 54 (108)
Endurance: 65 (130)
.
.
.

cutting your stats in half, until the curse expires.

even if Strowtripper accidently reversed his posting of Strength: 175 (160), Dakrru's Curse is not it.
on the supposition that his order is correct, he's got something augmenting his strength. if not something is diminishing it, either way, check weapons, armor, rings, etc.
