Planeshift and KDE

Has anyone else had problems with the installer not creating the desktop shortcuts or the menu links? I just found the  planeshift links in my kmenu, the desktop ones never appeared, and they were in Kmenu->Lost & Found not in ->Games->Whatever where you might expect them. This may be because the Whatever sub-menu does not exist and the installer does not create it. Obviously Whatever is not the correct sub-menu option but I am not sure where the game links would actually fit. I have Card Games, Arcade, Board Games, Games For Kids and Tactics & Strategy Games. My point was that PS is not put under Games at all.

It made desktop shortcuts, but not menu ones. But I did not think it was supposed to make menu ones.
