check to see if your vista is 32bit or 64bit..if it is 32 it might work but i don't know if there is support for 64bit yet to tell got to "MY COMPUTER" right click it goto properties and look at the window it opens... it should say ... if my computer isn't on the desktop look for it in the start menu...

Also if you are trying to run full screen try going to the window mode... i think the problem is with the anti-alias in full screen while using VISTA i maybe wrong though

**** Dont call toshiba i have a toshiba laptop they are of no help..!! i repeat i lost a lot of time and a lot of hair dealing with these idiots.. you will get some one in India who knows nothing of computers.. they just read stuff off a sheet.. trust me i once worked for HP computers..  their customer service is horrendous
AND THEY DONT UPDATE THEIR DRIVERS.. that is why i have the omega drivers... do a google search for "# 128MB Intel GMA 900 Graphics drivers"

try in the windowed version.. goto planeshift setup and turn all graphics down and put it in windowed mode ... you will find it in the same folder the planeshift client is in..

edit: i dont mind helping people.. Toshiba will be of no help... if he had a dell i would tell him to call dell but it is a toshiba.. i know what he will deal with.. and no one should have to deal with that..

wow i did a search for your updated drivers and they dont even make drivers for that chipset "# 128MB Intel GMA 900 Graphics"  they updates for the 915 but nothing for the 900 you might need to call Toshiba sorry...

wait try a right click on the desk top goto properties of video.. then goto SETTINGS the click advanced.. look under the tabs and make sure you are running at 128mb video and not 32 or 64 your video card is adjustable... try this then say how it went

** i was reading on a couple diff forums and it is looking like Microsoft kept the OPENGL info out of the GMA 900 chip set... they put the openGL drivers in the GMA 915 chip set forcing the upgrade if you want to game.. i would say if you are wanting to game you might be in trouble... but see what Toshiba says.. if you can return it do that get some thing that say NVIDIA or RADEON

I play PS on a laptop running Vista.

I did not need a driver upgrade, but a downgrade to the XP driver.  If I run with the "updated" driver I get black screens where I should have text. I downgrade to the XP driver, works like a champ and I lose the glass interface. A fair trade in my opinion.

I've done this on two laptops and one desktop, all three with integrated video.

Hi, all,

I had to register just to reply to this, the Intel GMA chipset does NOT support OpenGL, a requirement for running Planeshift. Oh BTW I run planeshift on a Vista 64bit so that's not an issue. I don't believe there is any way to get Planeshift running on that video chipset, or any way to update it wihout getting a new laptop. Some laptops have decent Nvidia graphic chipsets such as the 7600, 7800 or 7900 a o rthe ATI X1300+ and will run planeshift fine.

Hope this helps.
