The Magic Organisation

History

As The Organisation became very large Jornop the Leader started to think of splitting it. A few days after The Warriors Organisation and The Materials Organisation came into being Jornop was visited by two members of The Organisation: "You are doing a very good job splitting the guild, Master", they said. "But I shall not be a warrior, Sir, since I love peace" - added one of them. "And I shall not be a miner, Your Majesty, my hands are so weak that I can only hand a single glyph" said the other. "A glyph, you said..." said Jornop and suddenly a ray of pure energy from the Crystal blasted through the window and an unknown glyph appeared. Jornop smiled and said "A glyph, you said... It is a good idea. We need a new subguild to take care of flying magic".

Purpose

The guild groups the people who love the magic of the PlaneShift (PS) world, want to train their magic skills and explore the world, and are ready to help others with their magic spells.

Ranks

Recruit: is a newly invited member.

Illusionist: is a members who has shown commitment to PS and the guild.

Conjurer: should have level 10+ in the chosen way, and level 100+ in both Intelligence and Will.

Sorcerer: should have level 20+ in the chosen way, the ability to heal, and level 100+ in Intelligence, Will and Charisma.

Warlock: should have level 40+ in the chosen way, the ability to heal, and all Stats above 100.

Mage: should have level 40+ in the chosen way and level 20+ in the second way.

Overseer: is a member appointed by the Guild Master to check if there is not any trouble and to help other members.

Member of the Council: should have level 70+ in the chosen way and level 30+ in the second way. Members of the Council can be appointed only by the Guild Master.

Hmmmm....


Shouldn't such guild ranks be specific to different Ways? Especially Necromancer, should be a focus for Dark Way maybe?

why do peoples who are used to magic have use of Strength? and why the requirement?

Well then your guild ranks make no sense :)

Edit: Not the Necromancer part anyways. Especially needing to be able to heal :P

The requirements are something you have to work your way to it... and the strength for the HP which you need in battle

May want to change the name.  Necromatic arts are illegal.

Besides that looks like a nice guild, may want to take Farren's advice but, that's up to you.

Maybe make it Mage then Sorceror then Warlock :) Take out Necromancer and then it should make more sense.

Yeah I read necromancer and was wondering if I had competition for making an illegal dark guild  :devil:

As for the HP thing use endurance instead of strength. Magic doesn't rely on physical strength and I don't think that one should need physical strength to be a mage. However  intellegence, charisma, agility, and endurance I think are acceptable stats.

I think the name for this ranking should change as well. It just doesn't seem to fit because an illusionist is someone who preforms tricks to decieve the eye. I can see that in ps but its doesn't seem right as just someone who is a commited member. Unless all has to practice decpetive arts (which sound more like dark way and azure way).

For the most part it looks okay to me. There are some things that could be done though to help make it more intresting. However thats just in my opinion.  :P

Ah I agree with most of the complaints myself  :D

We definitely dont want illegal practices in the organisation ;)

But anyway, this division is the newest so I would expect some changes in the ranks and such anyway.
