blank screen issues

i have to open the planeshift game a few times just to get it to load, otherwise all i get is a blank screen, i got as far as the new character screen, then when i clicked it, the screen went blank. has anyone had this problem before? is there a way to fix this?

my specs are:
1 gig RAM
amd sempron 3000+ processor
nvidia geforce fx 5200 video card
1.99 ghz processor

probably related to your cards drivers being out of date and they aren't handling OpenGL very well.  check nvidias website and get the latest version.

If Planeshift weren't so unnecessarily cross-platform (seriously, who uses Mac or OpenBSD to play 3D games?), the coders might have gotten it to be able to work well with more than every other graphics card out there.

ok well i fixed that problem with a new driver, but sometimes when i'm in game, when i go to buy something, or look at someones specific information, the thing that pops up is oddly disfigered, and weirdly color pixalated

anyone else get that? that pink crazyness? it gets alot worse when i try to buy something.

whats your specs? maybe a monitor problem? i never had that. the most strange is that it only appears on the middle.. do you have that on other games?

no i have never had that problem with any other game ever, my specs are as follows.

Nvidia GeForce FX 5200 vid card 256 megs
1 gig ram
1.99 ghz amd sempron 3000+ processor...
anything i forget?


it happens in both windowed and full screen and some times nothing is wrong at all, and it changes in severity

are your drivers up to date? do you play on a LCD monitor? you know that small monitor size.
lets wait for the pros otherwise

my drivers weren't up to date before,and all i would get was blank black screens. i just have a normal screen, not flat or anything. what do you mean small moniter size?

i changed my drivers yesterday, it fixed the blank screens, and gave me the odd color crazyness. all those screens are from today, within the past twenty minutes. so it has to be something else, or even these drivers don't work

did you install the new drivers over the old ones? if so i'd say uninstall the new drivers reboot then install them again, might help and DON'T have a antivirus active when you install the drivers that could makes things go weird
