more graphics problems

ive seen other posts about this and they dont help id show u a screenie and wont let me do that either all i can c is my char which is all white and nothing else its all black.
ppl say i need a new graph card or update my hardware thing is is that mines btr than that of what is recommended and my graphics card is almost the best what can i do?

Give us some more information
What operating system are you using?
What graphics card are you using?
Have you tried to upgrade the drivers of the graphics card? (can usually be found on the website of the manufacturer)

If you are on linux I can only think of either a driver problem, a misconfigured Xorg, or a globally installed version of CrystalSpace which is outdated and not compatible with planeshift anymore. If that is the case and you have downloaded the client from the main website (instead of building it from source) you should try to "unset $CRYSTAL" and try once more

For the case you are a windows or mac user I have to pass out.

Anyways, without more information we will only be able to speculate.

ok i think i found the prob but now it says server fail is that something else or is it just down for maintanence or something?

The server is down, currently.

I have no official information on that matter, but I have heard that there are database problems. Devs are working on it and probably will fix it sooner than "soon(tm)"
