NPCs Cant Atack or Be Atacked

Hah, reminds me of when I first started...someone kept telling me to stand here and press /dig, I tried and nothing happened. About 2 hours later someone finally said to type /dig gold...I hate that.

YES!  let's have an NPC server status page or add it to the existing page, sinbce it's sparse on content.  I've been stuck waiting for 2 days now and I can't do much until I get to kill some rats.  the NPC server seems to affect new players more than anyone, very frustrating.  I know I know, patience.  I'm trying.  But having a status page fo rthe NPC server would at least ell people what's going on instead of having to search for this thread.

Until we have something like this I suggest to visit the planeshift irc channel - someone clever wrote a bot who can tell you the npc status.
