Thanks Talad and your team of devs, testers, etc. - this is really a wonderful and unique gaming experience!

I'm new to PlaneShift and have been reading the site info and forums daily - one question on the new release:  will our current characters be wiped?

Well, I'm not part of the team but I think that nothing will be wiped now. So don't worry  :)
As far as I know wipes are done only when the economy has got unstable for some reason (bug for getting free money  :devil:) or major changes in the database. Anyway wipes are announced separately so new release doesn't mean wipe as well.

this release and the last one have had database changes so that is not a valid reason for a wipe to happen and the devs would let you know if they planned one. this release will not have a wipe in it and most likely there will not be a wipe for sometime if we keep exploits down.

 :oops: Thank you for the edit, Caarie. I haven't experienced any wipes so far in my short PS-live  :) so I wasn't very sure about it. And this is my first new release  :sorcerer:!

The good news is, sounds like the word DOESN'T apply to this release (unless the Powers say otherwise) - so pardon my language and join my in my anticipation of logging on again!  \\o//

No, you REALLY don't have to pay for ANYTHING. Not bonuses or anything. It's totally, completely income-free.
