What I DON'T want to see.
« on: October 12, 2007, 08:36:53 am »
I really like this game. I don't have any complaints.

I just want to say that what I really don't like about games is when there is something that one group of people can never do that another can. I mean things that add to the storyline like quests, and accessability to certain areas, certain abilities.

That's all. Just looking for feedback/info about this I guess.

Thanks again for the great game  :)

*edit*

To clarify, I don't mean that everything should be the same for everyone. People should have their (dis)advantages, certain things should be harder for some. Just making things impossible though takes part of the experience away.

thats actualy a complaint ;P

but i agree, it would be nice.
There could be instances like you are banished from certain city for some time because of yout actions, but not forever. The banishment could be long like forever in the bad cases, but then there could be something what can be done to reduce the banishment. Thatds just an example. Maybe same about quests.
Because the impossible rule indeed sounds not real, bt thats just a thought.

What you can failure tommorow, failure today.

How is this a complaint? I haven't seen it implimented yet.

Except for the Winch access quests maybe... And dwarves climbing...

Wow though, big deal there. It is hard to avoid every single instance of that.

Again, if I were complaining I would be talking about something I don't like about the game.

My understanding is that all races will be able to learn all stats and skills, just some will have a very difficult time learning them over others.

So consider that wish granted.

There are race abilities that other races will never be able to do, solely because it doesn't make any sense for them to be able to do so.  Case in point, Krylos have the ability to glide naturally, without the needed use of any device, because of their wings.  Enki's have no wings, so no natural gliding ability.

This has been talked about before, I am for sure, but I am not sure if it was ever brought up as a "wish" in this section of the forum per se, so I lock, but will let it remain here for documentation purposes.  :)

*Edit*

Regarding quests.

I am under similar understanding, and if it is wrong, someone in the know will simply response here and correct me because the people in the know have the abilitity to respond to locked threads, OR they will just PM and I'll update as such.. But I digress, It's my understanding that anyone playing any race, have an equal opportunity to get all quests.  That is, until you make choices as you play your character.  The faction system, like everything, is in its infant stages and needs work, but I believe that as you do deeds for one faction, an opposing faction will be less likely to trust you and thusly give you thier quests.  But that is an active choice you make accepting quests for one faction over another while you develope your character.  However, I do not see why, and I believe the devs are in agreement with this, why something must be always set in stone.  So I see in the future ways to regain standing with other factions you have become an uneasy stance with.  Would this be an easy task? Probably not, but I see no reason why that a char couldn't "redeem" themselves, so to say, to a faction that they are unfriendly with.

So again, consider wish granted.
