What part of the event did you like the most?
« on: October 12, 2007, 10:31:46 pm »
Many have said what they don't like about the events that have been made by the GMs, me being one of them ;), but we should also mention what we liked I think so lets have a thread here where people can tell what they experienced in an event and really liked and hope to see again.

First of I think some praise to the GMs for the number of events lately. They are really doing their best and are experimenting in what works best.

Something I saw in an event and really liked of late was the start of one. It was someone walking around asking some people if they were interested in helping his master out. I thought this was a realistic way to get people in an event and seeing the number of people who came in the end seemed like an effective way aswell so I hope to see that more often. :)

The thing I liked most about the only tiny part of an event I ever witnessed was talking to a GM OOCly about how bad everyone else's RP was :P
I suggest the statue of Laanx gets turned into a statue of Parallo <3. An NPC could never replace the huge hole he left in my heart when he died  :'(

Even though I don't actually help out in events often I do like watching them (usually criticizing everyone rply for helping a stranger). I do enjoy that players try to rp during these events. Even afterwards there is always a little increase in the amount of rp for the day, good or bad.

What I don’t like about events is that it is often hard to find an participate in an event because I can’t be on 24/7 for the sol purpose of looking for an event.   Perhaps the system chat could give some kind of hint about the event?  “There is a stranger at the Hylena bar”?

However

I did manage to participate in the Hylena bar event that occurred moments before the eclipse.  I quite enjoyed Rping as a drunken dwarf that ended up defending Hanquist and eventually Hylena.  Had some good Rpers there too, which made it even more fun.

The Kada- El's event was great, with beasts dropping by for a drink and drunk Harnquist and Tontow. Hope the bop on the head didn't hurt you too much Tontow ::)

I came late (very late) to the last event.
I ran my legs off to get there, just in time to see a whole slew of rats with names.
I don't know why or how it happened but my best friend is a RAT!!!!!  (pats poor, poor Stug on his furry little rodent head...*giggles*)
I almost fell down laughing.... \\o//
To see all these little rats scrurrying out of the cave near the Bronze Doors, will be a sight I won't soon forget.

Thank you for the best laugh I have had in quite sometime.

To be frank i didn't know any of the events were happening  :-[

I did notice that harnquist wasn't where i'm use to seeing him but no one could tell me where he was. Although i did catch the last message that was broadcast me and two others where mining diamonds and had a heart attack when we thought the NPC server was back on line with us trapped well below the temple.

What this tells me is that either for the 12hrs+ i'm online each day i'm blind  :detective: or there is a distinct lack of communication about events, i for one love to RP and quiet often will start a little banter while mining or smelting. It is a shame i missed it and will luck i'll make the next one.

From the screenshots i have seen of the events and the general opion it seems i am truley at a lose from not being involved. So what did i enjoy most about this event !
Finding out that there is finally a game ( in dev ) that RPers can enjoy.

i sing songs when i mine, sometimes people respond, other times they just mine.

i like it that they weren't announced. it would be unrealistic for 40 people to walk with harniquist when he went to the tavern. sure this means i'm always in the middle of them, but at least ICly and OOCly it makes sense.
