+ seems that the installation of 0.3.020 has influenced my system wide sound configuration: AMAROK can't play mp3-tracks anymore...

Solved. I had to reboot my computer  :whistling:  >o)

+ Hydlaa lacks like hell

Executed fixlibs.sh and got this archive installed: http://download.xordan.com/32bitlibs.tar.bz2

Now Hydlaa seems a lil bit less laggy but that could be just a coincidence...

+ when a new map is loaded the physical stamina of my char is reduced to zero

Some map crossings take so much time loading that one reaches breathless the other side...  ???

4 pages!!! I have not read the last few yet, but I think this is getting a bit unbalanced. So I started a new thread, 'VERSION 0.3.020 - WHAT IS WORKING FOR ME'. I think everyone posting in this 'NOT WORKING' thread, should also add something positive here.

And this is all getting repititive. Please search the bugtracker to see if it has been mentioned already. If so, no need posting here ten times, if not, please add it there.

This may be better discussed in the forum first (to prevent pages of everyones wishes in here). THis is probably not by design to ruin duelling, but an effect of solving the problem with claiming an npc at 100 yards.
Leaving it unconfirmed for now, but maybe arianna will assign it anyway. I could make it a feature request and set it new, but I wont for now.

I said discussed, not one side repeated :) I think a separate thread with a discussion from both sides (and the other side is not me :) ) would be better. Again, I am sure this will be fixed some time, but someone has to think of a way. Let's just see what devs think of it.

Well it seems as tho I am as well experiencing EXTREEME lag in Hydlaa, and I thought it was bad before....As well my coursour lags.
The bacwards Icons are a bit anoying but I will get used to them I suppose...

I am running Windows 2000 ( Iknow horrable windows user)  "Intel(R) Pentium (R) 4 CPU 1.80GHz AT/AT COMPATIABLE 392,208 KB RAM" --whatever all that means....

and my video card is NVIDIA GeFOrce FX 56000

is that what might be causing my horrable lag? or is that good stuff...hehe yeah I have no idea...

The main thing that isn't working for me is the BitTorrent download!  I'm all for saving bandwidth and sharing files, but people have got to be online and actually sharing files for this to work.   :(  Maybe it's just me, but I've been trying to download the install file for almost 6 hours now (yes I have high speed at 5Mbps).  I'm only getting about 3-5 Kbps from other people, yet I see that there are nearing 200 people playing right now.  Could a few people start sharing their files so that I can at least finish the download?

Thanks!   \\o//

According to http://laanx.fragnetics.com:6881/ there are 134 people downloading the client at the moment. With so many people downloading, even with few people seeding, your download speed should be much faster. Are you sure you do not have other problems (all the right ports open for bittorrent for example)?

I've downloaded the linux version in about 2 or 3 hours (but there were fewer people).
Now I've just started to d/l the windows version with bittorrent, and it said it's downloading at 300 KB/s, the download will be over in 12 minutes... So the problem is probably  from your connection or your settings.

Back to the matter at hand, I do not like mouse movement and cannot see where to turn it off in the game. The Option screen as well as some others seems to be porous to mouse clicks resulting in clicks on that screen moving the character, certainly undesirable. It seems to be in non-functional places such as between the arrow and the scroll marker in the scroll bar when the marker is at the bottom as well as the blank spaces between the option headers, actually pretty much anywhere in that pane which is not specifically part of the option name or its highlight. Oddly enough it does not happen in the pane where you change the settings. The same thing happens in the help window header pane as well and appears to happen in confirmation box windows too.

The grass has always been laggy but is not a really big problem for me.

Bilbous,

Movement on left click can be turned off by un-assigning the "LeftClick" in Options->Keys->MouseRun

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
i can said manny of the thing the other player have said (me i cant stop the "moussrun" option and i cant select anything whitout run !)
But i think the "more bad part" wath the "tutorial map"  yes i make a "new avatar" and i comme to see !
sur the Npc can teatch the "newcommer" but .... stay alone in this aera and never see anybody ! (exept other newcomer !)
Brrrrr..... before "be a game" ps what "peoples" you can ask "help" or no people can help you or not but you can !
in the "tutorial aera" you are alone ! (like in the winch sometime !)!
And be a "newbee" in this desert wath not the more funny experience for a "bigining" !
And i forgot the "anglish"
What about all this player from all around the world who ask me "you speak polish /spanish/deutch/ or another tongue ! i said "no" but the "tutorial aera npc" speak "only " anglish and a lot !
Whit nobody for giving help or translation !

Edit: Please Modify your post instead of double posting [/i[

And please add the GUI examples to the bug report about this

3. All the Tall Grass.. all of the tall grass everywhere in hydlaa.. i think it looks great but.. I think it might be the cause of allot of the laggy behavior..(is there a way some one could tell me how to load the old map or at least delete the trees.. or is it hopeless)

I agree about the grass. XP1900, 1.5gig of ram, nvidia 7600gs and running gentoo. While waiting for laanx to be opened up the public I started a local server. Around Harnquist's was very bad. I edited the world file in hydlaa_plaza.zip to remove the grass. The only change was removing all the grass in the plaza and it went from unplayable to smooth.

Have also heard of people using the .019  art/world/*.zip to get some performance back.
Beware the grue.
