VERSION 0.3.020 - WHAT IS NOT WORKING FOR YOU?

XP2500+, NVidia geforce4, 1 gb ram, windows XP

I installed the game over the existing .019 to begin with. It didnt implement a mouse-click movement for me and i was happily running around harnquist as allways. I uninstalled/installed the game to see the point-and-click that had been implemented. This resulted in heavy lag in the maps of hydlaa and jayose.  Could be a relation, could be coincidence or a effect of less obvious features that were changed by doing a fresh install. Only other maps I've been to soo far are both the ojaroads and Ojaveda and those maps work fine for me.

Like Bilbous i have a problem at clicking in menu's activating point+click movement, it seems only to happen for guild window and option window though. Clicking spell window, inventory, stats+skills or quest windows doesnt activate it. The graphics on certain glyphs and inventory items (like broad swords) look pretty pixellated now. I think some of the artwork that was in .018 and some of .019 was rolled back, it has been nicer.

I just registered yesterday, so i'm new here. I tried searching for this (bug?) but couldn't find anything. I'm playing the tutorial, when i get to ibhaar and he sends me to kill a rat, i can't find that rat anywhere. where is it? is it a bug or am i missing something?

Just type "rat" in the search field, press enter, and the middle of 3 bugs says:
rat in Tutorial does not spawn

i did that, but not in advance search, so every word with "rat" in it comes as a result this kind of things should be "sticky threads" or something like that. I'll post in the correct thread from now (basically asking for a date for a fix)

Someone mentioned "sound" in the opposite "WHAT'S WORKING" thread ... In general, I switched off sound. Because I got a heap of errors (duplicate effects) after installing 0.3.020 over 0.3.019, I used a clean installation, where sound was enabled per default.

  

The intro song was completely messed up. As if two sound sources were playing in concurrence. Or as if Byte Significance was swapped (MSB <=> LSB).

Playing on Win32-XP with AM2, AC-97 6ch. I will try it again next weekend and make a bug report if it still occurs.

In case anyone cares  I finally got my BitTorrent working.  For some reason the default setting for "Global Connections Limit" is set to 1.  Once I set that to "Auto"...POOOOF!  Tons of connections and a much happier download speed.

Its confirmed only on some PCs, but worth a try.
Additionally, here is a Hydlaa grass-free map created by Hassadria. (works, but use on own risk)

Together with reducing the distance-level to 100 this all helped a bit. Hydlaa-Plaza is not as laggy now as it was before. It's still laggy but not so horrible

For some reason - my Guildhouse is having issues with locks... I lock it, when I log out or crash - I return to find it unlocked... and have to lock it again -

I noticed too that actually increasing the values for anisotropy and anti-aliasing improved performance. With the default settings my client was pretty laggy, after I turned on VBO, set AA and AF to 2x, set my resolution to 1280x1024 and lowered the distance in-game, all the laggyness was gone and I got 30 fps even when on Plaza looking at distant building or grassy areas.
