Freshly installed 20 on freshly installed suse10.3, inexperienced character (not new) /die to leave tutorial. Got up the first ramp in the DR and frame rate chugged to a halt in first person viewpoint. Looking at the floor got me across the ramp when the game basically stopped responding, mouse cursor would jump across the screen but arrow keys would not cause movement. I clicked on the window dressing x to close the window to no avail. I killall psc as user and root: no effect. I kill -9 the pid: no go. I could minimize the window but nothing more. Window is still there although it seems to be using no resources. Bad news! CTL-ALT-BackSpace killed the ghost window but left the process in the process table.
This seems to be video card related as the 7600gs merely stuttered a little in the dr while the GeF4 crapped out completely. Different box, different linux, same character.
