Planeshift Crash on Load - With Logs / Specs - Tried all posted troubleshooting

I launch psclient the window opens, starts to draw, and then crashes.  I suspect per the log it has to do with:
src/common/paws/pawsimagedrawable.cpp

As an FYI I noted that the audio failed to initialize on my first load attempt so I disabled audio in the setup; this cleared the audio error messages.

Tried to launch from updater.

Ran both by clicking.

Performed all chmod commands per earlier troubleshooting.

Changed OpenGL options per latest posting.

Tried all three different themes.

etc, etc.

All in all about 45 attempts at launching using each different fix and combinations of fixes.

the updater does not work, try a reinstall incase you got some odd files in your install.

it is possible that the game might not run at all on 10.5 as it is built with the 10.4.~ libs but if you do find problems or that it works it would be nice to know for future releases so they can be made to work as best as possible with the new version.

According to the dogs 10.5 is fully backward compliant

Make sure you run the psclient from a user account that has admin access.

Currently, the client might not run properly from a normal user account, as it requires read/write access to certain directories where normal users do not necessarily have access. We are working on fixing this, but for now, make sure you run the client as admin.

For reference, when the login screen loads the keyboard and mouse are completely unresponsive
(this includes external and built in keyboard and trackpad)

So I cant get any further for more info.

PS needs read/write access to the PS directory (typically /Applications/Planeshift3D) in order to place configuration files etc. there. Furthermore, it needs read/write access to the root directory /logs. (Don't ask, read : http://www.hydlaa.com/flyspray_upgrade/index.php?do=details&task_id=375&histring=Mac )

If you enable read/write access for all to these directories, I bellieve PS should run fine as a normal user as well.
