As a special favor to my friends Anumesa & Kenzel, I've put together a little something to spiff up their wedding ceremony.

Male Ylian
Femme Dermorian

The above graphics replace the current artwork for leather armor. As with any graphical mod, they only affect the system they are installed on, and it is highly recommended that you make a backup of your characters.zip, should you choose to revert to the old artwork.

Also included is a little formal wear for the bengal Fenki, requested by my dear Trixie for the occasion (as dull leather seemed unbecoming and the standard blue clothing was a little revealing for a wedding ceremony).

Caveats:
-Unfortunately, the client does not recognize the tweaks I made to the fenki's .cal3d file, so the leg spikes still show despite my use of alpha-channels to make them vanish in the editor.
(Edit: this is my fault, the .dds texture for the legs was saved in DXT1 format. For those of a mind to work with the textures themselves, simply open and resave the leg texture as DXT5, and this will correct the problem. I will release an update later, as my time allows.)
-It's a little trying to modify your characters.zip file, and as I run a Windows-based system, I can offer no help to Mac or Linux users.
-The wedding ceremony for Anumesa & Kenzel is tomorrow: out of respect for the bride & groom, I would request that all (male ylian/xacha & femme dermorian) guests refrain from wearing leather armor at the ceremony, though you are all welcome to install and use the patch.
-PLEASE DO NOT spam me with requests for other races or color/style variations on these clothes. This was something done in my free time outside my assigned Art tasks, and that sort of free time is something I have precious little of.

Those dressings are really some great work.. as no new mesh is required for those, it wouldnt be too hard to implement, would it?

The hair style of the female Dermorian looks sort of natural - may it be a hint for the 021?

If anyone gets it to work on a mac os x please tell me how you did it because i cant for the life of me figure it out.... 

[edit] i figured it out...you have to change the safari settings so that they dont unzip the file. Then just put it in the PS art folder (after changing the name of the original characters.zip file to backup_characters.zip) YAY!!!

Heh, I, um, messed up terribly and somehow my characters zip file disappeared. Since the updater doesn't worrk does anyone want to put it on you send it or something so that I don't have to download the whole thing again?

Raa: Yep, that's it exactly. Wanted to see if that last patch would work. Then I remembered I had a fenki alt, so I just used her briefly. I'm very disappointed that the leg-spikes don't disappear like they should, although it's not as obtrusive as I thought either (kinda blends with the black tiger stripes).

Vehl: They're a snap to install, if you know your way around a .ZIP file. Newcomers may have a little difficulty, but the process itself should work on [any] machine, as I'm fairly certain the characters.zip is universal. As for .021... well, I can't say anything there.

Anumesa: Glad to hear you got that ironed out. Sorry it was so much trouble.

Parallo: I didn't want to redistribute art assets directly from the client, which is part of why the entire characters.zip package (edited) was not uploaded, but only the new textures. However, I'll see if I can't get a "backup" copy uploaded once I'm at work. 28mb is simply not feasible on dialup. (Unless someone else would like to handle this before then? )

Given the fact that IO don't have a clue who either of the people involved are I doubt I'll be there but your work finally shatters the monotony of Planeshift's visuals for Ylians for me at least.
