Wow, the only guy who voted History... I feel... alone :P

Either way, Yliakum has been around for 750 years and, I think, in order to really make that seem real would be to add more history, stories and culture.

We have gods but few heroes.
We have facts but few myths.

Of course, the community could possibly help with this.  But, it should be spearheaded by the settings team in my opinion.

Too little is known about Geography in my opinion.

There's Ojaveda, Hydlaa, Winch, Bronze Doors, yet one can hardly imagine where these locations are located inside the stalagmite.
The Winch is located at a hole which goes through several levels. I assumed that the hole is somewhere in the center of the stalagmite, but that would mean that Hydlaa, Ojaveda, Bronze Doors are little regions in comparation to what else might be on the first level, for the Winch isn't between them but rather at a outer corner.

The Emerald Lake, the Irfion (SP?) River; Is none supposed to know them, nor where they are?

An overview Map would be great. Something better than the strange thing on the wall of Jayose's library. I don't mean a map which shows where you have to walk to get from A to B, but rather a map which shows where things are located, and, above all the names of them. Names of rivers, cities, lakes, etc.
Areas which are yet undefined by the settings team could be grayed out.

History for me.

You have no idea how much that would enhance my roleplay :D

:( Only one selectable option. -- Well, I'd probably select 2/3 of them.

Try asking people who grew up around those areas? They'll tell you quite a bit about those places and where they are situated exactly.

Well, it's part of the reason we made it an option. :)

And Zan is absolutely right - the first place you're going to hear about other areas is in NPC dialogues (usually the ones NOT in quests.) So talk to people - you'd be surprised how many other places are talked about (or surprised at how few there are.)

Religions!

Specifics, morals... IE: whats a sin to laanx? or talad? teachings, practices.....

So many questions for those of us who have characters that openly follow a faith.

Or plan to join the clergy of a faith.
I suggest the statue of Laanx gets turned into a statue of Parallo <3. An NPC could never replace the huge hole he left in my heart when he died  :'(

As I understand it, crafting refers to crafts which could be blacksmithing, cooking, glassblowing. At least thats my understanding of crafts in a mmorpg sense.

altho im not an active member here, i still keep a eye'kin around  :innocent:

history is a backbone specially for a roleplaying game, (science, magic and alchemy), politics, economy and religion advancements are branchs that come from the history of the culture.

I think history and religion go hand in hand... since the Gods molded yliakum society so much... And had such a large impact...  If you ask me its a no brainer that history/religion should be at the tip top of this list. :|

Two more votes then we move on to the next poll. I am surprised more did not go for history.

I voted for "Mobs" category, but would like to clarify.

I am interested in the interrelations of the creatures (and people) whom we battle.  They all behave pretty much the same; none of them flee when you approach, or when they are near death.  We never see any young, either.  That will change eventually, but here's my vote that it happens sooner.

The behaviour of the mobs themselves is not something that the settings department can do. We're not AI programmers. :)
