Update problem
« on: November 10, 2007, 01:04:10 am »
When I installed the client, the installer suggested that I launch the updater, so I did.

Couldn't connect to mir1, and mir2, mir3, and backup didn't have the file.

"Ran out of mirrors! Game cannot be updated."

So I figured I didn't need an update, so I tried to launch the game. It told me I had to update before I could run the client.

Soo..any idea on how to fix this?

Download full last version (.20), as the updater doesn't work. Then ignore warnings about updating.

There are some threads about the issue, and also post-its. Updates DON'T work, so you need to install last version from game's page. No other way.

And if that doesn't work?

Not really sure what do you mean. If you have version .20, then it's not an updating issue, it's technical :p

Make sure the one you have is .20

I downloaded 3.0.020 from the download page and installed it. It told me to update, so I did. It didn't work but I saw here on the forum that others had the same problem, so I uninstalled and installed again. Same problem. So I uninstalled, downloaded the whole thing again, installed again. Still the same problem.

Maybe just uninstalling isn't enough? Should I be deleting some files from somewhere before I re-install?

It is mentioned all over the forum and in the IRC channel topic, DO NOT UPDATE if you have the current version 0.3.020 then there is no need, ignore the message and just login. If you have already run the updater then chances are you will need to re-install
