Cearre Sawesee's funeral.
« on: November 21, 2007, 09:51:58 am »
A mourning ceremony will be set up to comemorate Cearre Sawesee's untimely death. He was murdered by an unknown member of The Outlaws in the Hydlaa Tavern. His only known friend, a recovered alcoholic named Yeluelen, shall be his undertaker.

If you have a heart, please attend the poor Stonebreaker's funeral on November 25th, 1:00 A:M GMT Time, under the apple trees by Harnquist.

I know. You'd think if someone was murdered in plain view of around 10 people, the guards would at least attempt to find the killer. But, they just stood outside and reminded everyone to "keep their swords sheathed".  :(

The Guards have arrested that person if it was done in a public area.

Just because the game mechanics don't allow Hydlaa Guards to arrest criminals yet doesn't mean your character should act like they do nothing. Personally I'm tired of criminals who fight people in the tavern and just walk away, with two of Hydlaa's guards standing just outside. :P You want to be evil, fine but you deal with the consequences.

By the way .. all these funerals .. you guys do realize they're against the settings, right?

Nobody seems to care about where all of this junk finally ends up, since the stalactite theory is only devised by some Xacha scientists and has not been proven yet. Dead bodies are eliminated the same way. Though discarding dead in such a callous fashion would seem rather shocking, neither of the two main faiths at Yliakum requires particular care nor reverence to dead bodies. To the people here, a body is simply a non-functional apparatus or an empty shell with no soul.

Funerals are not against the settings. That's just the way that people dispose of bodies.

Usually that is a funeral. A funeral next to Harnquist is OOC.
I suggest the statue of Laanx gets turned into a statue of Parallo <3. An NPC could never replace the huge hole he left in my heart when he died  :'(

The stone face would be a better place to drop a body, as it seems to be a burial well.

Psst elvi, morila at it again? ;D

Funerals are not practiced by followers of Laanx or Talad, so they're against the settings, but that text on the main page is pretty old. With the new religions appearing it might not be entirely valid anymore. Still I'd be careful with them.

There are plenty of nicer places both in Hydlaa and in the wilds. You might want to check out the secret garden in the library district.

[One last thing: I'm sorry about the time, but I live in Hawaii, so the time is 10 hours behind GMT. If you can't make it, you're excused.]

Well I don't know what you all are talking about , Morilla was with me that night, However before I left the tavern with her, we did see the dwarf having a drink with Anarkia...perhaps you should question her.

[also bar fights are quiet common, and if no one calls the guards then why should enter? as long as we keep quiet :P, yes it's hard to play an outlaw and perhaps we should get a little credit for all the hard work we have to do to role play everything we do, because the game mechanics don't fit our char's as well as the do the "hero" type. and just so know, just because we are outlaws does not mean we are bad, we don't agree with all the laws and we do our things, we've been cast out by society and formed a group to stick together because no one else understands us. most of us if you take the time to talk to us and listen you will find we really aren't so  bad.]
