I know what this thread is for, and i dont really see a use most devs know how the players see their work. it is posted all over this forum. I was not talking directly about this thread but all threads players have made toward the devs work with this game.

:) Ok fair enough. I just hope the dev's also see the positive comments and not just the negitive. From your post it sounds like all they read is the negitive. I would surely hope not.  After all people wouldn't write the amount of stories they do and post them if this game was so bad, or ask for places to donate to PS, or come to the defence of the game and dev's when idiot players post huge negitive posts. It's a two way street on these forums. It isn't all negitive. For some reason though the community seems focused on only the negitive and that is just a shame.

I think its the fact that the negative=must come up with solution, and positive, the only discussion that would be able to generate would be a line of thank yous and I like its...not very much discussion there. Theres also the fact that we do the same thing in real life---give out more negative comments than positive.

Feed me noobs!

If we could harness the power of newbies, one hour could power New York City for 2 days.

I like the pointy stick idea. Perhaps you could put a massive stick everytime you lock a board made by those

idiot players post huge negitive posts.

Have you told a Daylo 'I hate you' yet today? Do it. You'll get teleported to another area!

I know what this thread is for, and i dont really see a use most devs know how the players see their work. it is posted all over this forum. I was not talking directly about this thread but all threads players have made toward the devs work with this game.

This is where I disagree, I think most devs eventually get disappointed by those few, immature and self-centered players who bash any change that disadvantages them. It's normal but it doesn't mean that is how all the players think. Your previous post shows me that at least you have a negative view of how we guys think of you all and I'm afraid it's a view several devs have by now. While I know there are quite a few of us who really do appreciate your work and all the changes.

Sadly negativity always resonates louder than positivity.

Anyway Zorbels got exactly what I wanted to do with this thread towards the Devs .. then towards the players I want to say this.

The Developers make an effort to listen to us and please us even though they definitely don't have to. This is their playground and they not only let us play in it but they even ask us what we want to play with. Too rarely I see the pleasure returned, too few of us seem to care about the Developers and their wishes or their hardship. They're people too, good people even and they also deserve to be listened to and supported. So consider any of you who immaturely bitch at a change in the game or an action of a Dev or GM for their own selfish reasons, instead of maturely discussing differences of opinion between people, smacked with a big pointy stick!

One day, long ago, I listened to a Video DVD being produced (I was a DVD authorer years ago) about a classic violine player (Israeli or similar complicated nationality), and his conclusion about his childhood:

A bad teacher tells you that you were wrong.
A good teacher explains to you how to improve.

I have seen so many times that people were great in complaining about your faults and mistakes. The more complicated part about criticism is instead to suggest a better solution.

I wish you all to get enough creative players with good feedback, to stand the noise from the smashmouths.

I am confused by this. I thought the game is in a ‘testing stage’ shall we say and therefore all feedback is important for the final version, whenever that may be. So criticisms should be welcome to make the final product the best it can be.

Though Zan is correct when he said, “Sadly negativity always resonates louder than positivity.” It is always true a few bad apples ruin the whole bunch. We should be glad for what we have because it is great!

It makes me sad to think that it is some kind of popularity contest here. Who likes whom and all the boloney that everyone says. Personally, I am getting a little tired of hearing about this player being hurt by another player or that the developers are not listening and that the GM’s are not doing their job. I know that the people behind the scenes work very hard. We are all a team now we should grow up and act like it. Think of it this way, if we were working on a assembly line making cars and the person who puts the drivers side door on says he does not want to do his job that day, no cars would be completed. We all have to work together to get the job done.

All the players, developers, GM’s and anyone else here in this community have a job to do. I say we should do it and work together. Stop fussing at each other and act like a team. If we do not then maybe before this project is done it might all fall apart. The question is ‘How can the players make the developers feel more appreciated?’ The answer is simple, play the game and enjoy it, if something is wrong tell the appropriate person and go on with what you were doing until it gets fixed. I wish the bickering would stop between everyone.

Btw, I did not vote because I think it is pointless. Nothing will change until attitudes change.

Somehow it was rather a question from DEVs to DEVs, according to the forum it was posted in.

More or less. ;)

Technically it was a question from me to devs, Ligh ... Neko was just kind enough to create the poll for me and I suppose this section was picked because it has the highest chances of a Dev actually seeing the topic then. I'm sure there are others that care about the answers here though.

Oh, OH, Do I win something!?  :sorcerer: I could use a cookie. I ran outta strawberries  :@#\

Though I have the same concern as Zan. I really hope the Dev's don't think to negatively towards all players and know it is just some who don't appreciate their work. If I didn't appreciate it I wouldn't be jumping to defend this game, the staff and the community everytime an insulting post was made. I also wouldn't put the effort into alot of the story wirting and roleplaying that I do.
