Zorbs, you know I luv you... but I gots me a PS3... and it's amaaaaaazing! one city, takes 45 minutes from one end to the other and it has 12,500 NPC's!!!! Assasin's Creed, whoopdeedoo.

The Xbox 360 Version is better, I think. Less glitches, more fluidic controls...

Loosely related: The HD war is almost over, the decision of Warner for BluRay made it almost final...

Let's call it a draw!

PS: PS3 is an acceptable Media Center, being connected via WLAN. Therefore my vote. Or was this poll restricted to actually playing games on them?

I've been outside, it's overrated and the graphics suck!

The advantage of the Wii is indeed the physical component. You have an excuse, that you are active even in front of a TV set.

Noticed that with the Wii, newbishness is directly proportional to awkward, superfluous movement.

Anyway, the problem with the Wii is that it's more of a party game. It's just not that fun on your own...

Too true. I beat my brother and his friend for an hour in tennis without losing a single game because they were swinging their arms and I was just flicking my wrist. It is fun to watch them exhaust themselves, though.

i really don't see how that's much of a problem, the wii being a party game. Unless of course you enjoy playing games on your own. But most things are always more fun with other people around.  Even if they are watching you making a fool of yourself by dodging balls flung at you from the trainer for boxing...

I think his point is that the Wii has little interest if you don't have people around. That does limit its validity as a "real" gaming system, as it's not really the sort of thing an avid gamer would sit around and play. I'm not putting the Wii down, I enjoy it, but I think what emeraldfool said about it's restrictions is fairly valid. I would love to play it with friends, but I'm not going to own one because unless I have friends over all the time, I'm just not going to enjoy it that much.

I find it's particularly a good system for people who live in dorms and have nothing better to do with their time than have people in their hall come over "for a game of tennis".

Really going to call a game system that forces gamer geeks to make friends a bad thing?
(yeah, yeah, I know, "vicious" stereotype... just a joke people, don't send letters. :P)

Anyway, I think there are and will be more games that are fun to play solo. Try Paper Mario or Metroid Prime 3, and I expect Super Smash Bros. Brawl to be fun alone or with friends if the online play works well. The Wii is more than just Wii Sports and Party Games, it has the potential to really change the way people interact with video games of all genres.

Oh you poor thing.  The bottom line is don't expect to attract any chicks with a piiessthree.  It's a known fact that it attracts other things besides chicks.

Oh yeah, and the Wii gets all the ladies. "What's your Wii bowling rank?" has become the new "What's your sign?" :P
