Well, I would like to get these details from you!
There is no levitation in ps, at least no one usable by players, as far as I know.

Why dont you ask your guild-fellar who posted it?

There is a bug, that can make you fly to the crystal.. I know how to do it and did it quite often already, but just for fun and never when people were around who would mind ;)

Oh, and it's already reported and in progress. \o/

Well bug abusing is a ban-able offence, yes. So unless your levitation happens through use of a magic glyph, you're abusing a bug.

Disciplinary action may be taken against any player found breaching these rules. This action will be decided with consideration for the gravity of the offense.

  • Exploit
You will not exploit any bug in Planeshift and you will not communicate the existence of any such exploitable bug (bugs that grant the user unnatural or unintended benefits) either directly or through public posting, to any other user of Planeshift.
Bugs should be promptly reported to Game Masters.

The only way to levitate is to exploit a bug and (assuming you're in the guild I am thinking of) since a warning has been issued to one of your guild members including a promise that no guild members would exploit it also, the next step is a ban

There are already two known bugs allowing a char to levitate: One is related to a specific inventory item, another is related to a rare occasion in movement.

I don't exactly see how it's exploitable.  Sure, you can levitate, but what does it gain you, other than hours of entertainment?

Zetsumei: you can go places on maps using these bugs that you ordinarily cannot get to.

How is levitating considered a 'unnatural or unintended benefit'? Assuming you drop and fall to a horrible death that is

It was not intended, so it is a bug. Do not abuse it.

What else do you have to say about it?

if the official client wont let you levitate then exploiting a bug that does allow levitation is an unintended benefit

And this is a bad thing?   :)
