The Crystal Chronicle is now in print

Hello everybody,

After dropping the Yliakum Herald for quite some time, I've decided to start a new paper. It's called the Crystal Chronicle, and it is a weekly edition. It will be mainly sold by me in Hydlaa and Akkaio. Like in the Herald, you will find stories, news, tips, travelling ideas,... , as well as a weekly contest with a money prize in the Chronicle.

If you want to contribute content, or run classified ads in the Chronicle, simply contact me, here or in-game. I pay for articles and stories. If you want to distribute the newspaper, I can sell them to you at price and you can keep the proceeds of the sales.

The first edition is in print. Contact me if you would like a copy

Bloody tabloids. You shouldn't call it Yliakum Chronicle for the same reason that guilds shouldn't have the word Yliakum. That is unless you collect news from all the levels somehow.

Personally I don't think naming the newspaper Crystal Chronicle is a bad idea. Actually I think it is a great idea. The point is your trying to stick with the settings and that is a good thing. Your considering the dev staff's hard work with the settings. I am sure you could come up with names for the newspaper till hell freezes over, people will still be able to argue it. It is all semantics. We are all behind you with the newspaper idea and no one seems to disagree. Why nitpick? Since it was your idea Giraut Mawhrin, I think you should name it whatever you want. Especially if your successful with it and have been putting the work into it.

It will be alot of hard work but it would be nice to see someone pull this off again. I know Ogu and Proglin at one point had a newspaper. Well, actually it was a Kran standing in Hydlaa Plaza. The idea was there and they worked with what they had (No books were implimented). It worked out really well and was a big hit in PlainShift. I guess they stopped it because all good things must come to an end and it was alot of work. They couldn't get enough people on staff to report news and it become a full time job for those working on the paper. Time they didn't have to spare.

I think it will be nice to have a newspaper again. I would have a source to catch up on the news in Yliakum when I can't be in game seeing these events take place.  I look forward to your newspaper Giraut Mawhrin and good luck to you.
