I made it all the way through the tutorial without any crashes or freezes. Now, in the actual world, when I load the game, one of two things happens. Either the world loads, I'm able to walk around for a minute or two, and then my game freezes (and it also freezes my entire computer). Or, the game freezes (and my computer freezes) in the middle of loading the world. I'm running OSX 10.4.11 on a MacBook Pro. I've already turned the sound off and Vertex Buffer Object off, in pssetup. So far, I've never gotten the game to keep working for longer than about five minutes (with the exception of the tutorial, which probably took 30 minutes or so, and I got through fine). Does anybody know what could be wrong? What else can I try?
