Tilavi wants a night off bug?
« on: January 01, 2008, 11:53:29 pm »
I started the quest for Tilavi in the Oja Tavern.

-The problem occurs when I try to finish the quest by telling Tilavi that Fruntar has agreed to take her shift. If I even mention Fruntar's name, Tilavi restarts the quest for me, asking "What did he say? He wants something doesn't he?" and then sends me off to Hirren to get the apron.
I've tried giving Tilavi the receipt from Hirren, but she won't take it. I'm completely lost!

Use the bug tracker NOT the forums!

Forums are for discussion, bug tracker is for bugs.

Although it should be changed, the quest is not bugged. Each quest has certain keywords, you are saying the keywords for that part of the quest. You need to say something else to Tilavi,i completed it today. It did the same thing though, when i mentioned "apron".

All above with non-native english language player makes things worse.

PlaneShift team have to do something with such "not consistent" quests.
This is not only one not consistent quest in game.
Excellent art and engine will not save game if players will have to continously try all known english phrases to complete quest.

No players have access to quest code and there are no "special players" in game that have that information.

I've said many times now - if you find a spot that you are having major difficulties with, when you figure it out, PM me the name of the quest, the npc you were speaking with, and what you were trying to answer. Then give me the list of phrases that you tried. I'll be more than glad to review your submission and add phrases if needed.

Some of the stuff that you posted here is crossing the spoiler line, so I'm asking that you trim out your second and third paragraphs or that a mod do it for you if they read this first.

As for the "not consistent" quest complaint. Just like every other part of the game quests grow and change. If you've been watching the forums you'll notice from one of my previous post that older quests are getting some face lifts. We're working on it, but we can only work so fast.

I appreciate any commentary if offered in the right locations, if you'll do as I listed above and PM (or e-mail since you do not have 10 posts yet) the information that you tried in the format I listed, I'll be more than glad to review it.
