New player with some question's.

Hi guy's! I was looking at this game for awhile but never really tried it cuz of some poor reviews that I heard and read.  But then after some thougth I said, "what the heck, ill give it a try, this could be a cool game". And so far, im liking it! Im a big fan of RPG style mmo's and read alot of fantasy book's, and I got to tell you, the few hour's that Ive been playing this game, it really feel's like your in a living book, one that you are writing as your journey continues.  But I must ask a few question's.

1. What stage of development is this game currently in?
2. Is there PvP, RvR, PvE in this game?
3. Is this game going to be big when it's fully developed, and why?
4. Will there be a character whip, yes or no?
5. How big is this game so far? (5,000 player's less, more then 10,000) and do you see it growing larger?
6. level cap in game?
7. Do you see yourself playing this game long term?
8. Finally, do you see good update's for this game such as more race's (dark elves, also know as drow)

Also Id like to say that when I first ran this game it went into it's updating process but failed because there were to few mirror's.  is this a common promblem and is there a way around it.

Hello, I have been playing this game for over five years.  Let me try to answer some of your questions.  First off, this is not a complete game, so if that's what you are looking for, then this probably isn't what you want, although there are many people who just check this game out every now and then to see how things are going.

1. What stage of development is this game currently in?

This game is under development.  Last I heard, they are deciding whether they should call it Alpha or Beta, but this game is not Closed.  It has been Open for as long as I can remember.

3. Is this game going to be big when it's fully developed, and why?

As in world size, yes.

4. Will there be a character whip, yes or no?

Yes, but it is usually for really major updates.  The last pwipe was July 2005.

5. How big is this game so far? (5,000 player's less, more then 10,000) and do you see it growing larger?

As of now, this game has over 400,000 registered accounts (from people who have tried the game once), a couple thousand concurrent players, and an average of 100 players online with about 200 players during peak times.

7. Do you see yourself playing this game long term?

Yes.  This game is non-commercial, so the server isn't going to go away just because some corporate big shot decided it was time to drop the axe on it.

8. Finally, do you see good update's for this game such as more race's (dark elves, also know as drow)

Not in additional races, no.  This game tends to shy away from the staple fantasy races such as elves and dwarves, although they do exist in a way.  As of now, not all character models are finished for this game, although more work probably needs to be done on areas than anything else.

6. level cap in game?

The game is "levelless" but you can build up individual skills which have maxima.

As far as game developments go only part of two of the levels are currently in existence, part of the uppermost level of the stalactite (Dome) and part of the Death Realm. Both of these will eventually be expanded as well as the other levels of the stalactite and probably some areas beyond.
