Birthing Periods

Being the recent amount of pregnancies lately, it's about time (if it isn't public information posted somewhere already) people know exactly how long pregnancies are.

I've been doing this so far:

=4/5*32
=4/6*32

If time in Yliakum is 5 times faster than in real life, and an Enkidukai's pregnancy lasts 4 months, that would result in about 25 days of pregnancy.

If time in Yliakum is 6 times faster than in real life, and an Enkidukai's pregnancy lasts 4 months, that would result in about 21 days of pregnancy.

However, there are many factors that would change this.
I'm unsure how many days there are in a month in Yliakum. The formulas above are going with the assumption of them being 32 days long. Also, I'm unsure if time in Yliakum is 5 or 6 times faster than in real life, since I've heard it said both ways. If we can establish these factors, it'll be easier to roleplay out the child being born.

Anyways, if I remember correctly, the gestation period for the races can be found in the library...


if I'm wrong, then i read them somewhere...not sure where.


what about the usual symptoms of pregnancy (normal being human)? do those exist for the races as well?

Yes, I already know gestation periods, that's how I came up with 4 monthes. However, there's no book in the library as far as I know saying how many days there are in a month, and how fast time goes compared to real life. For one thing those books would be completely OOC.

The idea of a dwarf giving birth to a Kran - you know that if this community was really big and the game was quite widely played etc - then there would (somewhere on the internet) be some really disturbing art work concerning that.

There was a thread about this earlier. Since Yliakum time is hard to calculate, they agreed to just let the players choose on their own based on the gestation periods. So, just make an educated guess.
