make sure you activated the whole thing, try your password a few times for typos, and if everything else fails, you should create a new account with a new mail
Which mail service you use?
when did you created your account?
did the verification mail arrived shortly?

after you registered for a new account, you have to verify it.  the game will send you a verification email to the email account you used to sing up with.

there is a slight snag in that process right now, and it seems the emails aren't being sent out.  so no new players can verify their new accounts, and thusly can not play.

so i'm sure your password is right, it's just that you haven't verified your account yet, and thusly, its telling you it isn't working.

i used hotmail.com, i created it yesterday, i recieved the verification email, ive tried the password a few times when i try to get a new password by sending a new verification code to my email account, it says: 'No account with that e-mail found or account has already been validated.'

i have already recieved a verification email and clicked the link and carried on from there, has my account been verified? or is there more i need to do (e.g create character, e.t.c.)

ok, well if it did go through, then sometimes just clicking the link does not actually make it work even though it says its verified.

this is because sometimes when the link is just clicked from the email, not the whole link is transfered into the web browser and it says it gets verified, when in fact it doesn't.  known bug, if you will.

it's best to copy the whole link (make sure to get it all if it spans multiple lines in the email) and paste it into the web browser and try it that way.

if after that it still doesn't work, it could be somehow related to it not updating the database correctly since things with email verification do seem screwy atm, or you simply aren't typing it in right into the game client.

if you check the remember password option on the game client and then type in the password, and then push the connect button, if it doesn't let you in, you can close the game client, go to the folder where the game client is installed, and look for a xml file that will actually have what you typed in for the password saved in it.  i forget what the name of that xml file is atm.  you can open that up with like notepad or something and make sure what is saved in there is what it should be.

Since the password is saved in md5 format it is very hard to verify that you typed it in correctly. and it is saved in planeshift.cfg

i thought the one i linked to was the one to reset the account password?  maybe the account verification thingy is still being screwy?

yeah it is the password change link, where it asks you to put in your email and it will send a link to change your password, when i put in my email address thats what comes up.

ive tried registering again with a differernt email address but never recieved the verification email

one small problem, the planeshift screen is too the far left of my computer screen and i cant see anything down the left hand side of it such as choosing some of the different races, etc on character creation screen, is there a 'screen adjust' feature?

theres a ps setup program that lets you adjust screen sizes and what not.  use that
