There is no 'Give' Icon. I cannot right click on the NPC...

I am at the stage where I have just received the blacksmith book from my first tutor and am instructed that I must right click on my second tutor and 'give' her the book.  Only I see no 'give' icon.  Matter of fact, nothing happens when I right click on her.  The game said the 'give' icon looked like a hand but the only icon I see that looks like a hand is the petition Icon.  I've already sent a petition for help.  I don't know what I'm doing wrong.  Yes, I made sure it was my right.  I was using a sensory pad (mac laptop) at first and thought that was the problem.  So I got out a mouse to use.  No change.  Every time I click 'trade' (which I hear is the same as 'exchange' or 'give') it states that I can't trade with an NPC.  I've run out of ideas.  Please help.

Standing near the npc type /target <npc first name>, once the NPC is targeted type /give, which will open the give window.

You can also use /target next npc to cycle through targeting near npc's.

/target_context will also bring up the "pop up" options you normally get when right-clicking on an object or NPC.

since you use a mac there is no default right click, so please control click to do the same thing.

I'm not familiar with mac's so try Caarrie's suggestion as well if you don't want to memorize all the keyboard shortcuts.

Also, if you forget what the buttons are for the various functions, you can find them in the options (and change them if you want).
