I think it depends on what kind of information you choose to share. I think it would be good to have such a thread if it contained accurate information about the history of those landmarks, for which you would have to do some research. For example, you could talk about Laanx' temple and how and why it was built, about Kada-El's, the arena, the Bronze Doors, or the de Dsars. I would avoid detailed information about the exact locations because as more maps are developed the world will change so things might be juggled around a bit (like when Ojaveda got flipped to the other end of the road). And of course, what kind of trainers or quests you can find nearby should not me mentioned at all.
If kept IC and spoiler free, it would be an interesting project. It would even make a nice addition to the library.
