First of all, I'm impressed by pretty much everyone for keeping this alive.

So whats new?

Can you fight yet?  Are there monsters?  Is there money? 

I'm pretty excited.

Well, I think we are all happy to say that we can answer "Yes" to every one of your questions  . When you say, what's new, how long has it been since you were here? A lot has changed, like a nice new update. Might want to see http://www.planeshift.it/ for the info on that. PlaneShift still has its server crashes, and it goes down every now and then. There are also several bugs with the game, as it is not a finished title yet, but hey, at least it's here to enjoy!

Player-created books and maps, guild housing, GM events, over 100 NPC quests, the start of a pet system, 3 armor types, an open-pvp arena, ~5 different maps/regions, and much more :) Folks have been busy since AB.

Wow, you played back then? I feel like such a newbie in comparison... I started way back in the early 0.3's... The first major update I can remember was the Great Ojaveda Shuffle which moved it over from where the Bronze Doors are now to its current location... Of course, the Bronze Doors themselves happened at the same time, but the move I remember more. I ended up getting lost, and I kept thinking how OOC this was because clearly the characters shouldn't "forget" the way... I think I had to get someone to guide me over to Hydlaa from Oja.

...Wow, I'm turning this into a PS reminiscences topic. I should stop.

Kary also forgot to add that now instead of just holding weapons in your hands by your sides, you can actually swing them and deal damage.

AB was earlier than 2003, I'm pretty sure.
edit: Molecular Blue was released on 7 March 2003, which means he missed Atomic Blue by 2 days

Morfene is close to the border, so he might've had a chance to play the former version :] Forum registration dates aren't always matching to the date you first played.

That's true of course. If he really last played in Atomic Blue he'll be surprised when he gets in-game

correct, but there was a char migration from MB to CB, and there was a full char wipe at the beginning stages of CB I think it was.

Something like that anyways.  Been too long ago for me to remember the details.

there was the migrartion. early in cb there was a db roll back to the start of the cb db.
