I've been trying to find an example of a complete 1 level upgrade to a skill. Everyone keeps pointing to the color chart and explaination of Theoretical and Practical with progression points, but what does it actually take to go from level 0 to 1 in a skill? Seems like this should have been done in the tutorial instead of learning how to make ore hot... I've been playing for about a 3-4 days and haven't raised any of my skills yet, just running around doing "errands" for experience and putting my progression points into skills without seeing results.
So for an example, right now I have 9 progression points and I want to move a skill from level 0 to 1. If my bar looks like it does in the help/FAQs posted, blue 3/4 way full, yellow 1/2 and green 1/4, what exactly needs to occur? From what I understand, I need to put enough progression points into the skill to move the green bar to the yellow, which is there a visual rule that helps determine how much that would be? Is a full bar of green = 16 progression points at level 0? And so 16*30 = 480 Tiras is how much money you'd need? And then do I need to practice the skill until the blue bar gets to the end of the red bar or will the yellow bar go to the end of the red bar and then I'll need to put more progression points into the skill again? I'm not sure why this is so secretive, why it is something we need to figure out. The reason I ask is I've had lots of progression points and I've spread them out amongst different skills thinking each progression point means 1 level increase, but instead after 3-4 days, I'm still level 0 and feel like I'm getting no where. Now it looks like I'm going to go broke just leveling up one of my skills. It seems like it'll take 30 progression points just to move one skill up one level, but it would have been nice to know from the beginning. I've also read that some veterans have 6000 progression points and don't really need them anymore, which makes me believe that it is ridiculous to have skill leveling be such an abstract mystery in the beginning and then become obsolete later on. What is a good skill level, too, does it go from 0-100?
Thanks
