Planeshift not opening

SO my firend goes and cliks open planeshift client and nothing comes up at all... Any help?

We'll need more information. There's absolutely nothing we can suggest with that information alone. What operating system is in use, what are the system specs, what client version?

ok its Steel blue. Mine works his dosne't. He clicks open client then waiting... nothing thats it

third, and it is obscure: check to make sure he doesn't have the system variables cel and crystal set.

We -need- to know his system specs. What processor, how much RAM, what video card, and what operating system. Without these details, it is almost impossible to figure out what the problem could be.

I usually get this sort of thing when I have a conflicting version of Crystal Space on the same box, and my CRYSTAL, CEL, and CSCONFPATH environment variables are set.

Then we can't help, there are to many variables to try and guess his problem.

Now do this, click start->run enter the word "dxdiag" (without the quotes) this will start the windows xp diagnostic program. The first page will have his basic hardware, Motherboard, CPU, memory etc, post that here, also go to the display tab and read what it says under device, post that here with the rest.
