Good ideas get lost in long discussions...
« on: March 16, 2008, 01:39:01 pm »
Erm... I am not sure if this is the right forum, but what I noticed in recent threads is that while there are some new ideas for existing problems, they kind of get lost in long discussions. I think it would be nice if there were a sticky with some or even all the ideas various players stated. what I mean is: A kind of list that shows what annoys players plus possible solutions without all the unnecessary talking. An example could look like this:

Problem
introduction-system

possible solutions/enhancements
- show "a [race] [gender] said..."
- ...

If this would be combined with voting, players could show the devs which ideas they might like and which not.

While that might be helpful it would seem to be a lot of work for someone to keep it updated.

moving to the forums issues section...

and they don't get lost.  specifically, the example you have gave was created its own thread in the wishlist forum area

wishlists with solutions and without unnecessary talking? How can you distinguish? It's very often that something is both at once - you would havw to reformat the whole and you would still loose potentially important details.
It is never like the idea someone proposes is ideal, everyone comment on it and all the comments consists of solutions. Some are great, other are terribly failed.
There is no way to filter it, other than reading it all. And if i was a dev, i would read maybe 10% of all what i should, getting maybe 50% of the information i should.
A good idea was a thread in the past, which was listing and linking most of the decent wishes, but someone has to continue it, any volunters? ;)
