I have a problem...

Hello! While I could download and easily register on the forums, I can't seem to register for the game.  The link times out.

It times out for me too, which is odd because other pages under the planeshift.it domain work fine.  Still, my guess is that this is a temporary issue and that you just need to be patient and try again in a little while.

the forums and game are hosted by 2 entirely separate entities, so that is why the forums may be up, when the game may be down.
