I know that it is possible to post statuses. I am willing to work with whoever to get details on what needs to be tested for each status. I have some thoughts, but need details first. I believe that smf is a gpl project so i can get access to the page source and add some inline php or perl code to check for the status of each service. I have done web/dns/mail service monitoring for many years and even sent e-mail alerts when things were not responding and all-clear e-mails when services were available again.
I also very much understand people being reluctant to allow a complete stranger access to systems they feel are precious. I am willing to jump through a few hoops to be able to do what i can to make this game more enjoyable (best case) or at least less frustrating (worst case).
