Sounds
« on: April 24, 2008, 03:39:48 pm »
As some people may have noticed when the music plays it might be all jumpy/scratchy in music. this (to me) makes the games fps drop. I think i might now how to fix it. IF the sounds/music where in .wav it would not need to unpack it when playing.

I would gladly convert the .OGG music files.

Also if i convert them and put the .wav ones in place would they work or does it look for .ogg files?

Don't forget Ogg Vorbis as is mp3, is a lossy compression format and will not sound as good once de-encoded in addition to being up to 10x the size

yeah it would increase the size.....  :(

but could it be made into a optional installer where it replaces the .Ogg files and changes the script files to run the new ones?
