« on: May 05, 2008, 04:07:05 pm »
You have five days to vote for the guildhouse of your dreams. Will it be in Gugrontid? In Hydlaa? Or is it Akkaio that best serves the purpose of your guild? Vote now. You only have five days to get the guildhouse you want!

.:.::.:.:.::.:. Gugrontid A .:.::.:.:.::.:.

Lovely property located in Gugrontid's Keep. Amazing view of the city, precious stone carvings
and beautiful access bridge. It also has a practical storage room adjacent to the building. Let your guild stand
out in the crowd with this luxurious property in the heart of this amazing city.

Bid starts at: 900,000 trias.

.:.::.:.:.::.:. Gugrontid B .:.::.:.:.::.:.

Nothing reflects the sturdy and noble nature of Kran architecture better than this fine construction.
Located at the base of the keep, this guildhouse offers the resident guild an excellent location for trading,
crafting and mining activities. Let your guild be part of the very foundation of what makes this a great city.

Bid starts at: 800,000 trias

.:.::.:.:.::.:. East Hydlaa A .:.::.:.:.::.:.

Let the classic beauty of the columns of this manor reflect the position of your guild as one of the pillars
of our society. The beautiful combination of stone and wood and the finest finishes that only the master
artisans of Hydlaa can achieve make this property a gem in the middle of the library district.

Bid starts at: 700,000 trias

.:.::.:.:.::.:. East Hydlaa B .:.::.:.:.::.:.

The traditional three-story design of this manor and its crisp white walls contrasting with the solid dark wood
beams and columns make this a grand place for an urban guild to center its operations. It's located in the library
district, just a few steps from the property described above and is the perfect example of the city's architecture:
functional, clean and welcoming.

Bid starts at: 700,000 trias

.:.::.:.:.::.:. Akkaio Central .:.::.:.:.::.:.

A cozy two story building located in the heart of the market district of Akkaio. Practical and perfectly located
for the younger guild. Be a part of the future of this resilient city that has endured hardships and difficulties
only to become stronger and ever more beautiful.

Bid starts at: 400,000 trias

.:.::.:.:.::.:. Akkio East .:.::.:.:.::.:.

Size matters. This prominent structure is capable of housing the largest guilds in Yliakum. Its location in the
warehouse district as well as its lofty space make it perfect for commercial activities, having enough room to
store goods of all kinds. The building is both discreet and safe and its high ceilings, open floor plan and
industrial dimensions are comfortable for the modern lifestyle of the dome's most thriving guilds.

Bid starts at: 600,000 trias

Is it just me or does anyone else think that Gugrontid guild houses ought to be sold to primarily kran guilds and akkaio ones to primarily enkidukai guilds? I suppose there are no primarily kran guilds out there but there are several primarily enki guilds some of which already have guild houses.

By the way what is the story about multiple guild-houses? Are they going to be allowed as long as they are in different towns? on different levels? not allowed at all? Is it determined how many of the buildings currently in game are going to be available for purchase or are they to be made available on an ad hoc basis. Are they still restricted to guilds and can they be resold by the successful bidder to whomever they please?

In the past some guilds acquired more than one house but that was fixed and the properties re-auctioned. Until enough are sold or until further notice, we're restricting ownership to a one guildhouse per guild.

Oh, And keep voting! :)

Hmm, I just may have to start the "Beggars Union" and try to beg for enough money to buy a guild-house.  Better still, given this character's background, I'll start up a Homeless Shelter and try to arrange government funding as well as begging in the streets for donations....

Can the prospect properties be opened for public walkthrough?  We'd really like to see how they are laid out inside...rooms, stairs, pre-defined art/decor or is it just a big empty blank box?  Given they are all different shapes and sizes, they all must be different inside, yes?

For the moment, there is only one layout for the interior of the guildhouses. Eventually more will be created but right now the thing that makes them unique is the building though which the map is accessed so keep voting so you get the one you want!

Here are a few screenies of the interior:

There already is a house anyone can enter near Hydlaa's Kada El Tavern. Don't remember exactly where it is, though.

Does your guild already have a house?

If so, you can still participate in the auction. You will receive a 2.000,000 trias credit for your guildhouse and you'll only have to pay the difference of the final price. You will need to:

  • Have the authority in your guild to represent it in the auction.
  • Surrender all keys of your current guildhouse (only in case you win and after the auction closes).
  • Have enough money to keep bidding once the 2Million mark has been reached in the auction. If you do not have any more funds (and we will know), you won't be allowed to bid anymore. In case the bid doesn't reach 2 million trias and you win, you will receive the difference.
  • Empty your guildhouse completely. Items left behind will not be returned once the swap has taken place

To All Bidders: You must have enough money on you in order to bid. "My friend will come later to pay" excuses will not be accepted. The money can be distributed in the inventory of different members of the bidding guild, but it's better if you transfer it all to only one person to avoid complications.

Keep voting! Less than 24 hours left before the poll closes! ;)

Well that probably just shut out any smaller guild that thought they had a shot this time around.  A $2M credit on top of what a large wealthy guild can raise would be far beyond what any small guild could compete with, so the big guilds get an address change and the small ones get no opportunity at alll, as the former houses will be shuttered.

Sorry ... just disappointed.

Consider that guildhouses have sold for 5, 6 or 7 million in the past. Not all guilds will want to take this opportunity given the amount they will lose if they swap houses. We're still favoring the guilds that don't have a guildhouse in that sense.

I expect prices to be higher than ever before with the platinum abundance. Makes me wonder if roleplaying guilds will get a chance of buying a guildhouse. ::)
