Wearing Ring of Familiar crashes the server?

Hi, I just got the Ring of Familiar from a quest. Problem is every time I try to wear it the server goes down. Not sure if it's related but happened like 5-6 times already so I thought I'd throw it out here.
Has anyone experienced something like this when wearing jewelry?

Well, Just to let you know that its not a problem I have experienced. All works fine for me with regard to "familiar". (Just a bit of feedback for you)

I gave it a few hours. Quit the game for a bit. Came back. Finished a couple of quests. Went to a different location and tried to put the ring on and... the server crashed again!!!

So I guess I'm not going to be able to wear that ring for now. I'm not even going to try anymore until I get a "go" from the devs.

did you try the command /pet summon to see if your pet appears?
im wearing no ring (as i havent done the quest) but a friend lent me one for a moment and for now i can still spawn "my" pet without wearing any rings.

I got a "You have no familiar to command" message. Do I first need to get a pet somewhere?

no, your ring of familiar provide you one, if you can equip it of course

You only need to wear that ring one time.
After you wear it, then call /pet summon , name your pet and unwear it.
That will be the only time that you will need to wear that ring.  I used it (i just use it one time), but im not experienced such problems.

The first time you use the ring, it creates a familiar, and the ring turns into a normal ring. This to fix that when you passed the ring to someone else, it would also create a familiar, even if that person did not do the required quest.

This now happened with the Working with Stock book. Could there be something wrong with my character?

Hm... could this be because my empathy level is 0? Seems like that was the deal with the book. As soon as I got metallurgy level 1 everything is fine with the book. So maybe it's the same problem with the ring.
But if that's the case, how do I train empathy?

Even though from Rizin's post I understand people are looking at this, it would still be a good idea to make a bug report about it, so the test team can also try to find out what is causing this. Could you please go here and make a new report? The information you gave above may be very useful, so copy-paste it there please.

just curious, is it your game that crashes or the server, it's 2 things you know, if it was the server you wouldn't get in straigh away

its the server and himself by the mean time xD dont know if he gave the item to a GM like i advised him to do so, might be interesting to test with someone else.

Sorry I didn't look at the thread earlier. Seems like the server is down right now. But I'll try it out as soon as it's back up.

Durwyn, I did contact a GM and was told this was a known issue without a fix for the moment.
