PS! No demands! Just Id?as, im not sure where you got demands from.
I think it comes from the word ?Need? as from the quote below.
Here is sound-related stuff I \"need\"...:
And the top of your post was not really ingratiating at all I mean look.
What will Planeshift do to satishfy a guy like me who thinks the audio in games are VERY important?
Venge said exactly what should have been said, you basically said ?what will you do to please me?. If it is lost in the fact that English is not your native language it is understandable and I am sure Venge would not have seemed as ?rude? but he was not, if you ?need? that in the game, get it done.
While I agree with you that sound is really important, currently I am not aware of any sound development people on our team or on the CS team. As such it is likely that sound will be one area we lack quality till someone with those skills comes on board. If it is truly a need of yours, we have a few possibilities?you can do it, you can talk a person who can do it into joining the team, or you can bribe a person to do it for you, you do something they ?need? and they do what you ?need?. But I too hope we do a great deal with sound.
But also remember a huge number of people play games with headphones on, and having a sound concept is of primary importance, but to say 5.1 or 6.1 is where we need to go???
It would be good but I question the need.
Second this game is multi platform so you need to make sure you have Linux and Mac standards in mind as well as others.
Just some things to keep in mind, if you find a programmer who might be able to do it.
However we do need sound oriented programmers so if you know anyone, we would be more then happy to have him/her on board.
