Alchemy

Is this skill active or not? I just started, and came out of chargen with a 17 alchemy, so it'd be nice to be able to do something with it... but I can't figure it out.

I've searched the forums, but can't figure out from the various posts if the skill is active or not. Some say it is not, but they are old. Others say maybe it is, but they are also old and contain no real answers. Does anyone know?

Hi, and welcome to PS! There is a list of (in)active skills somewhere in the forum, and unfortunately for you (and me ) alchemy should be on there as inactive. At least we can cook now, which is sort of in the direction of alchemy, but that won't help you with your skills.

Cooking works now?  The "inactive skills" thread needs to be updated then... or is it cooking works but it doesn't train the skill?
