A report of the progress of Inventors

Hello! Hello! Friends and foes alike, this here is a written notice of all that is modern in our beautiful Yliakum, and I am the finest writer in the land,
Alerianamein Q. Undermainstrom!!!

This week a group of Nolthrir and Klyros engineers have combine two magnificent things!
A ship, of wood and sail that can not only sail on water, but may also... wait for it... FLY!!!
Can you believe it folks, a ship that can go into the air, an Air-Ship!
Head Nolthrir engineer whose name we will not mention for legal reasons says that the ship, which normally has a foremast, one main mast and a mizzen mast.
However! The Klythrir Air-ship has two extra main masts that can move out to either side of the ship, catching updrafts and sending them into the air!
The airships, however are not yet permitted by either the vigisemi or the Orchtarchs, and has yet to be inspected for safety by the finest Dwarven engineers.
So as of yet, the air-ship is not being produced yet!
And so until next week this is Alerianamein Q. Undermainstrom saying good bye, and have a fantastic week!

Breaking news!!! The airship has been approved but due to the cost of them and the price of maintanence, not even the wealthiest merchents in Yliakum can afford it! But folks thats not what we're talking about this fine week in Yliakum. This week we're going to look into an invention by a rather aged old scientist from the outskirts of hydlaa... His name is Prof. Wonderstheimen P. Donderschnikkel the third! We asked our executive Editor to come along and write down an entire report of the interview. The proffesor he has invented... well he has invented...
a small kikiri?
Prof: No No No... it is a robo-kikiri!
(Alerianamein looks confused)
Ro...bo?
Prof: Ja Ja Ja! Robo! or shoot I sey R.O.B.O
(Alerianamein looks dumbfounded)
Prof: R.O.B.O Rubbish Odomtrized Bird Organizer!
(Alerianamein pretends to understand)
OOOOOOOH!!! R.O.B.O!
Prof: Ja JA JA! plees vatch as I do zis!
(Prof grabs a handle ful of rubbish and does something that looks rather disturbing to the Kikiri)
Unt ve see zat ven rubbish is inserted here!...
(prof twists the birds leg)
Unt ve tvist zis like so...
(Bird Erupts into flames... becoming a roast Kikirri)
Ju see! A bird zat cooks itself!
(Alerianamein looks horrified at what she just saw.)
Well... perhaps not all inventions are of much interest...
And so until next week this is Alerianamein Q. Undermainstrom saying good bye, and have a fantastic week!

[so did you ask settings if a flying airship is possible in yliakum at their level of tech?]

[Besides the airship...RL references aren't really creative (Robo kikiri). I like your idea (My share of constructive criticism :P), but you should stick to the settings.

[Prof: R.O.B.O Rubbish Odomtrized Bird Organizer!" Not Robo as in the abbreviated word for robot, I kept in mind the much lesser tech level that Yliakum runs in, as well as with the airship, it is a simple matter of men pulling chains so that wood and canvas are positioned to catch updrafts of wind, Thanks for the C.C on the matter, but I have taken the technology level into mind and covered the lack of Dev. approval with mentioning "however are not yet permitted by either the vigisemi or the Orchtarchs". Once again I appreciate the feedback and ask you to please continue with any of my work on forums so I may best improve my abilities]

[hey I just thought the magazine should be renamed Vaporware Weekly or some such thing, big announcements of things that will never become available. :) It is perfect as-is! Of course my proposed name isn't.]

A report of the progress of Inventors

Hello! Hello! Friends and foes alike, this here is a written notice of all that is modern in our beautiful Yliakum, and I am the finest writer in the land,
Alerianamein Q. Undermainstrom!!!

This week we delve deep into a hidden dwarven workshop, to think these dwarves are so reclusive I may be one of the first people to enter this place  and write about it!
I am here today to speak to Head Engineer Orodrad Bannhammer, he wants to tell me about this strange new invention called the Flintlock!
get this folks this peculiar instrument fires a small metal ball at something around 35 foot a second!
It is far less accurate then a bow and arrow at a distance, but does far more damage up close.
tell us Mr. Bannhammer how does it work?
Orodrad: Aye lad, ye see this beooty is ron on foire cristals, croshed 'nto a foin combostable pooder. Ye sloide wunnov these 'ere metal balls innit than this 'ere pan a' the back is filled with some moore o' the foire pooder.
ye pooll ba' on this ear piece called a dog'ead an' shes loaded! 'ere pull this piece i's called a trigga...
(Alerianamein pints to a target hanging on the wall and pulls back on the trigger, she squeals as the room echoes with a crack louder then a tower crashing down, she is instantly enshrouded with a fog-like smoke, she coughs violently and drops the spent weapon, the dwarf laughs heartily.)
Well folks I (cough cough) I think I may need (cough) some air... but this is inde(cough)ed an amazing (splutter cough cough) thing...
And so until next week this is Alerianamein Q. Undermainstrom saying good bye, and have a fantastic week!

(I'll just say quickly, this is all altered from the real pistols, and as with all these inventions they are just pretend, they are not an actual invention.... :) so no need to worry about the reality of it... its pretend and uses nothing that does not exist in Yliakum...)

So we are to look at this like a tabloid, something like National Enquirer?? I'm good with that I also enjoy the twist you put on the 'inventions'. Just because they are invented never means they will make it into 'productio'(in-game).

Thanks for the updates. What does I.S.F.A.B.T stand for?
