ok.. Really need help here..

Pet has never worked... No follow, nothing.  Worked levels quite high... the skill under "various" tab = 37, the skill under magic I was told affects it... 19 (20 with modifier), and the skill under stat = 200.  still nothing.

upon advice I made a new char, diff account.... and got a new ring... and right out the gate he follows me!

so I made a new char same account.  and his pet also follows him!  Same shortcut, but not nearly the same levels... so something wrong with the BAMKO char...

Everyone tells me 'oh, pets do not do anything yet.' but I see them follow, I got them to follow my test characters a bit... and bug ID 1002 even indicates they can attack!

My issue is not a bug because I have not met anyone else who has this problem, but I can not get it fixed.

I have put in about 5 months on Bamko.  Should I just give up completely?

Please help me!  AND PLEASE... do not say  "try "/pet follow"   The same computer, same shortcut, same updated version of PS.. and different results....

Something is broke with Bamko.

About to give up... Please someone who can help me... help?

.3.021 trunk is current client that works with laanx now. I am not sure if there is a way to disable that on laanx or what.

Ok.. No Idea what the trunk point is... but point seems to be they do not attack yet.

still... Mine does not follow... see my previous entry....

Will I work on Character for another 6 months.. and find that it still does not work while everyone else is playing with their pet?

I am to beleieve that this will be magically fixed on Bamko when no one else has the problem?  or should I just move to a new char?

should I just walk away from Bamko?  Can't someone look into account settings and see what is different between him and the other char on that account?  works on one, not the other...

in SVN there are 2 branches Stable and Trunk stable is what is current on laanx, Trunk is what is up and comming for the next release. So what was Trunk when we had .020 is now Stable. I dont know how you guys are testing the pet attack but you should be able to
/pet target
/pet attack

if npclient is up and your pet should attack, but there is no way to train your pet so they will be pretty weak. you also might need to train them, but this i have not tested at all.

I can get them to target successfully, according to message.. but no attack on any of them.. but 2 with working pets are pretty low stats....

But can not get Bamko's to even follow... Let's walk before we run... or battle?  he he he... trying to have some humor.

This may be related. I know that I am in the same boat as you with my pet. I know also that I was questing because the critters in-game were not attacking when I received my Ring of Familiar. Don't know what can be done to fix this on the current server though.

I missed That bug.. no Idea why it did not show up on my seatch for "pet", but others have the problem... and it is assigned!  wooo hooooo.

The NPC server was down when I got the ring... now that you mention it.. Looks promising... and I have a bug to tracknow.....

Whatever the problem may turn out to be sometimes you just have to wait. I had the so called mana bug where my mana diod not increase and was seemingly fixed at 2.   Many people with the same problem wound up recreating their characters to get around it but I felt I had too much invested (others had more, I am sure) So I played it as an in context curse. I took a vacation after that for about six months and when I came back the story was the same for a while, a fix had been made so it would not occur anymore but nothing would be done for the afflicted. Still I made a petition, and kept playing up my curse and eventually someone decided it can't be too hard to fix and I'm going to fix it. So it got fixed and due to being patient I never had to restart my character.

Giving up on a character just because one facet is not working right is not always necessary.
