Bronze doors is SLOW

When I enter the bronze doors map the client slows to a crawl and is pretty much unplayable.  I have 1.5 Gb of RAM of which only 850 Mb are being used while on the map so I don't understand why this is happening.

this is a known issue for many, what graphics card do you have, and are the drivers updated?

My graphics card is NVIDIA Gforce 6100 128Mb.  I'm running Debian with nvidia drivers v. 169.12-4.

try adding  -fullbright  to your launcher
