unfair quest ending?

i did a quest recently involving stealing an item of great worth i was told by the npc who was going to sell them split the cash 50/50 but to do 1 last task first and give an item to another npc, i had expected to give the item to the npc and return to get my big cash reward

but no. the quest ends when i delivered the item, this makes no sence at all why would my char decide not to return and get the big reward

no no that's what's odd i never returned to the npc so how would i know, my char is not telepathic, how would my char know that she wasent going to get the reward

if the npc had said na im not going to give you nothin then ok. i could be happily annoyed that i can't beat 7 barrels of  outa it but no at word about not getting my reward

if you have issues with quests use one of the many ways to contact a gm or a dev to review the issue in question. it is not a good idea to post on the forum about quests as it may lead to posting spoilers.

If that's the quest I think it is, you just made a mistake. You should've given the item to someone else. But I may be wrong as I don't know what quest you're doing
