Happy Canada Day
« on: July 01, 2008, 03:38:13 pm »
To the decently large proportion of Canadian players and developers out there I wish you a happy Canada Day!

May you get drunk, watch fireworks, get drunk, hang out with friends and/or family and get drunk, or whatever it is you do on this day... Like a parade or something... where you get drunk :P

first of all i'd like to make sure you all understand that i like canada, and canadiens... and hockey.... so don't be offended when i say I HATE CANADIAN BACON!!!!!!!!!   wtf is up with that crap? its not even bacon, its ham.  canadian bacon is a huge fake, canada should be sued for false advertising.

I've never had Canadian bacon and I don't know any Canadians who have... I think it's just something we throw at the rest of the world to keep you guys away from us :P

Montreal Bagels and Poutine more than make up for it ;)

That just made me wonder...is there some kind of liquor made from fermented maple syrup?  If so, that'd be awesome.  Yay tiny maple-leaf-shaped sugar treats.

oh, and canadian bacon rocks.  Lotta protein, yumm.

I'm sorry, but as national dishes go, poutine is nothing to be proud of.  Gravy, cheese curds and french fries are all excellent, but that is an unholy combination.

I liked when on one commercial, there were people in the line at a fast food restaurant saying "I'll take an order of thunderthighs, and some blubber". That's pretty much all it is/gives you.

Actually, that's an urban legend.  Chinese and Italian pasta evolved independently.  But yeah...I'd think burgers are the American traditional food (at least as far back as the 40's or 50's).  Maybe macaroni & cheese? XD  Mmmm, heart attack.
