i don't eat babies... shaman does not have a good point....
burgers.... from like germany maybe? idk  i did think of one for sure though, apple pie.... and maybe turkey

We definitely didn't invent the apple pie  :P   The hamburger is American, despite the German sounding name.

Americans invented bottled soft drinks!  (Although I think the actual carbonation process was invented by the British?)

John Applepie?
they always name stuff after people that made them
Nature's first green is gold,
Her hardest hue to hold.
Her early leaf's a flower;
But only so an hour.
Then leaf subsides to leaf.
So Eden sank to grief,
So dawn goes down to day.
Nothing gold can stay.
-Robert Frost

Wiki it and weep, my friend!   :P

Americans invented the ice cream sundae!   And red velvet cake.  (And German sweet chocolate cake, actually.  The "German" was a dude's surname.)

That just made me wonder...is there some kind of liquor made from fermented maple syrup?  If so, that'd be awesome.  Yay tiny maple-leaf-shaped sugar treats.

oh, and canadian bacon rocks.  Lotta protein, yumm.

There's Maple Flavoured Liquor which is awesome (especially on ice cream ... *drool*)...

Canada has poutine and assorted maple flavoured goodies, neither of which I'd consider a national dish and Americans invented Hamburgers and probably a few other things, also not something I'd consider a national dish :P  Most other things in Canada and America are just imported inventions.  Welcome to being a melting pot.

Oh, happy Cadoras is great day, Canadiens!

What does Canada day celebrate exactly?

it celebrates the founding of Canada and the release, albeit in part, from the English government to be a sovereign nation.

Canada did not get complete sovereignity until after the WW1, At which England gave Canada a statue that stand in the legislature that represents that very freedom.

Any other Canadians that wish to correct my history please feel free, This is just part of what I have retained and collected since High School.
