Something unexpected happened in Planeshift...

Hello

I have another problem with the new version of PS I didn't find yet discussed on the forum and which I couldn't solve so far.
Perhaps someone can help me 

When I start PS I can connect to the Fragnetics server and even choose my char. Then while the map is being loaded a message box pops up that says "Something unexpected happened in Planeshift: Steel Blue Detail: EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION at 020F3C3E". Then the client crashes and thats it. Does anyone have an idea what the problem might be?

I have Windows XP, ATI Mobility Radeon 9600, 64 MB. I downloaded the new version of PS via the torrent, used the updater and updated my graphic card but it didn't help. I would be grateful for any hints, because I already tried everything I could think of...

I think I have to train my skill in Forum Search 

I turned off the vertex buffer (I thought I tried this before but probably I only turned it to Default...) and now I can play PS .... for some minutes and then I get another problem and I have to quit (while other players are still online). I will now take a closer look at the forum whether this problem was already discussed or not.
