What am i doing wrong?

Ive followed all instructions regarding the updater and it says that i got the latest update and everything, but when i login and select my main the client crashes, but i got no problem playing whit my other charachters, my main was around the magic shop i think. plz help me out

sounds like you did not run the new updater after you downloaded it, the crash at the magic shop is fixed in updates via the updater.

i did download the latest updater  10.4 and ran it in terminal, it downloaded some stuff but it still dosent work

I am having a similar problem.  My guy went to that forest path by the Magic Shop, and I have tried everything that all of you have said.  Now, the updater just boots up and quits on me.  It doesn't fix a thing!  Can someone just like tell me what to do personally?  Here is what the Console says:

Disable the Vertex Buffer in your PS Setup save and start the client. It might prevent the crashes.

If you have done all that is required as per README file, download this updater, open the updaterinfo.xml file and change the top line to be "true" instead of "false"and then run it

I don't see a "vertex buffer" or "vertex" anywhere in that script.  I have already done the true-to false thing, I've run the updater, and rerun the new updater... and it just appears in the application bar, and then disappears... is it supposed to do that?

there is no gui for the updater so you will not see it do anything unless you run it in terminal or console, also run pssetup for the other options.

The Vertex Buffer On or Off is in the SETUP Programm in your games directory. Have a look there and start it.

  This is the same problem I am having in my post. I did not see this earlier. My updater seems to be working and I get the:
"Checking for updates to the updater: No updates needed!
Checking for updates to all files: No updates needed!"
 message. But I am crashing at the same spot. I've never been to that place in the game until the other day. I just wanted to see the magic shop and Gugrontid then BAM! It just quits an the loading screen. And now I can't login because it just quits. I hope theres a fix.
