The Royal Chest - Cursed Orb of Krans
THE ROLE PLAY
A caravan was sent from Printh to Hydlaa, it was done secretly, only a couple of people knew that the caravan was to contain the chest of Printh and only one knew of its contents, Lord Raouldir Paxar. He had arranged for the item to be sent to Lolitra for a ceremony where it would be returned to the lake of tears as an offering to TALAD and bring an end to the curse on the House of Purrty.
The caravan was raided by a band of bandits, they had no idea what they had stumbled on and when they found the chest, they paniced, and killed all who were there, so no one would know who had stolen the property of the crown. They were also so scared about being linked to the incident they fled leaving the chest behind not wanting the wrath of Printh's Royal Guard. However, one stayed behind, he was either more foolhardy or just plain greedy. He took the chest, and whilst doing so saw a child who was watching in terror.. and in a fit of strange darkness, he cut out her tongue and left her for dead. It is unknown what motivated this thief to be more bold than the others...
The child was found in the carnage and is currently in the care of the Royal House in Hydlaa - however, the child, who is traumatized, cannot even be reached by the mirror of truth, Lolitra cannot make sense of her memories as they are running so scared in the child's head.
ABOUT THE CHEST

The Chest is ornately decorated with marketry box patterns, and on the lid is the crest of Printh inlayed in Gold and is about 2'x1'x1'in size.
There a small lock but it is more than meets the eye, it is magically locked, and would take some searious magic to open [can only be opened with agreement of Lolitra - who will let the RPers know if it is opened]
The magic that protects it is the infamous magical twins. Any tampering with the lock or attempts at forcing the chest open will result in the appearance of a couple of exceedingly beautiful female Enkidukai, who seem to cause the onlookers to want to touch them. But they are dangerous, their touch quite literally shocking, touching them will result in painful burns, and in some cases even death. They fade after some time of the chest being left alone.
inside is an item that would break all peace in printh...
The Cursed Orb of Kran. This is a black orb that is blacker than blackness itself, it has magical qualities and runes engraved on it - though close inspection reveals hints of blue veins in it. This orb is nestled tightly in a velvet cusioning.
To any Kran looking on it will be an abomination, a bastardisation of a heart of a Kran, and such will be their reaction to it - they may kill for it, to take it back and have it cleansed for the sake of the soul it harbours. Kran's would probably go to war with PRinth if they found out about it.
HISTORY - to back the story line [this is ooc information to help you understand the effort I have put into this - feel free to ask any of the TRHoP members about the history in game]
Printh used to be a land at war when the Clan Purrty first came live their, then one was born with a gift of peace and seeing. This gift was passed down in births of pure blood and breed, they, over time come to rule over Printh.
However, during the waring times Dwarves had started to mine the sacred lands of the Children of TALAD. They did not realise this, and joined forces with the Purrties to try and defeat the warring Krans. During these wars Kran were killed and had their hearts and minds plucked for making memory cubes, and orbs of knowledge. Peace was made with the Kran who allowed the retention of 36 out of 100 orbs and cubes [2 are recently brought into use in Hydlaa by a Yadili]
The first time things started to go wrong was when a guard fell in love with the Queen Hollinthy Purrty. This Guard RISTIN HAGARATH took one of the great orbs and embued it with dark magic.. Bastardised it - summoning a living curse... who came to be called HAGARATH.. this curse was even too powerful to be controlled by Ristin, and he died by it.[a story you might know?]
The House of Purrty started to die off due to the curse. One by one they fell to the all consuming darkness. The Twins Lolitra and Celorrim were taken into care of the once High Priest of TALAD their Cousin Lord Raouldir Paxar. He managed to close of a place where the curse was born, but did not know truely what lay with in. The bodies of the twins parents - The King and Queen were dead. Raouldir took charge of the House of Purrty, [and stayed in charged untill Lolitra came of age].
Celorrim left Printh in the hunt for a way to break the curse, and came close but was captured, and Lolitra followed, seeking to rescue her.
Celorrim was raped by the Curse, and this gave birth to Cerrolim, a blind child who was later killed by another of Hagarath's offspring.
Lolitra found she was gifted with the birthright, which her twin did not seem to have, but Celorrim was a formiddable mage.
Lolitra found a crystal sword of charm, which she managed to break, and wanted fixed.
Hagarath killed Celorrim and her spirit was found by an Artificer, who did not know whe she was, but he created another sword of charm using this mages spirit...
Lolitra found Plantimor, (who later became the PRinthian artificer) and he gave her the sword with her sister in it.
A great mirror shield was made of truth... in the mean time Lolitra had made a bond was made with her sword then looking into the shield of truth she saw in the shield her sister trapped in the sword... she hunted and finally killed Hagarath, the shield and sword shattered. This killed Shauri and herself and set free her sister from the sword.
Elexis a milk maid of PRinth set out and saught the mantra stones of Talad, for she knew Lolitra was a great follower of Talad, and saw her reserected by them. Talad gave life but only to Lolitra, but allowed the bonding of Celorrim to her, they share a body.
There was a condition to it though - she must find a king and have sire before she turns 30, or both will die!
They thought the curse destroyed, but they did not know of the orb, until it was found in the dungeons with the parents bodies sacraficed to the underworld
hence, to bring the curse to a final close, they wish to offer it to Talad for clensing in the well of tears, at Eagles Rock
